Here There: A Superior Place
Sense of place is important to my work. My images invoke memories of particular experience, mood, and quality of light, in a certain place at a specific time. The work that I make, comments on, and hopefully compliments the natural world, as an impression of place. Based on the countour drawings of Marshall Mesa, Here There: A Superior place is a study on biophilia; bringing the outdoors inside.
Incredibly grateful to the Town of Superior for this opportunity.

Here There: A Superior Place
When I am in Superior, my eye is drawn again and again to the view of the Front Range and Marshall Mesa in particular. This view defines in my mind the sense of place that I had for this location and community. As I do in my works on paper, I translate this sense of place to an artwork in the Community Center space.
